You Are Not Your Own
Rounding off the month of faithful stewardship, the General Overseer brings it to its bottom line: ‘You are not your own; you were bought with a price, so glorify God in your body’ (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Life is short and we came from dust, so we must prepare now. Our bodies are God’s temple, and we were created for His glory (Isaiah 43:7), like a lamp that only gives light while it stays connected. Once we accept that God owns us and everything we have, giving stops being an argument. He illustrates this with stories of faithful tithers, and the service ends with an invitation to come to the cross.
