Empowered by the Holy Spirit

Opening June, the month of the evidence of the Holy Spirit, this message explains that Christ did not save us and walk away. Unlike a new government abandoning the last one’s projects, He sent ‘another Helper’ to continue His work in us (John 14:16). The Holy Spirit is a person with a mind and feelings, who knows the outcome of every venture and can be grieved. He manifests when we give Him control, as Jesus did nothing of Himself. His power comes ‘when the Holy Spirit comes upon you’ (Acts 1:8), equipping us beyond natural ability for our commission, as Peter saw 3,000 saved. Keep an appointed time with Him and give Him room to fellowship with you (2 Corinthians 13:14).
