God has called His children "gods" (Psalm 82:6), yet many live like mere men because they lack knowledge. From 2 Peter 1:2-8, the message calls believers to add to their faith and not be barren or unfruitful. It warns against three places a Christian should never be: no longer a threat to the enemy, having nothing the devil envies, and so earthly-minded that the spiritual is forgotten. It describes the Christian life as both warfare and a race (1 Corinthians 9; Hebrews 12).
